Exercise and how to lose thigh fat
How do you feel about your thighsall Do you want to lose thigh fat? Do you want to know how exercise will help you to do that? Then let me give you some guidelines and suggest some exercises.
The first thing to realise is that you also need to stick to a calorie controlled regime if you are to lose any fat at all. Exercise by itself is not enough but adding exercise to your daily routine will greatly increase the chances of shifting fat.
Fat is the body's way of storing long-term energy reserves. By taking in fewer calories than you burn up you will cause your body to start to use up those reserves. It is a mistake to try to do this too quickly by drastically reducing your calorie intake because the body will initially use up the first available resource which is not fat but muscle. To burn fat you need to keep your calorie intake just below what you need and exercise to produce more muscle. i will leave diet specifics to another article and concentrate on exercise for this one.
If you are dieting and exercising you will lose fat from all the bodies stores, some faster than others. Do not be disheartened if you do not see immediate results you will realise after a while that if you keep at it then this really is how to lose thigh fat but your whole body will benefit as well. Exercise will produce more muscle and this always looks more attractive. As the fat goes then your thighs will start to look much better.
What exercises do I suggest? It all depends where you are starting out from. If you struggle to exert yourself for any length of time then slow and gradual is the best way. A little more each day makes it more attainable and as you get fitter then it should get a little easier each day. Start out by walking and extending the distance and/or pace to vary the routine and work on different muscles. Gradually building up say to a jog would be good and running would be the eventual aim.
Running is probably the best straight calorie burning exercise of all. If you build up to this or if you are already fit enough to run from the start then that is what I suggest you do. Set realistic goals but aim to do a little more each day to build up your efforts. A steady routine will work wonders.
After awhile though your body adapts and you may stop losing weight. The way round this is to vary your routine. Different speeds, distances and anything else you can do will get you over this problem.
To further work on different muscle groups you will also need to do some gym type exercises. Squat thrusts are very good but any exercises that involve legs and thighs are just fine. Again work at your own pace and within your own ability. It is no fun if you do not enjoy it. Remember no pain, no gain but it does not have to be agony.
This brings me to alternative exercises in your quest to lose thigh fat. I realise that not everybody enjoys running so finding alternatives is always a good idea. Swimming is a great all body exercise to help you lose thigh fat and the same principles apply. Start at your own pace and build up gradually.
I particularly enjoy cycling myself. You can really shift a lot of fat doing this but of course fewer muscles are getting worked on.
If you have any doubts about your abilities and are particularly unfit then I suggest getting further professional advice. Consulting your doctor would be advisable in some cases.
I hope that I have shown you how to lose thigh fat and wish you every success in your efforts.
